Always wash on cold water
Cold water is the single most impactful change you can make for scent longevity. Hot water opens the fibre structure aggressively and causes fragrance molecules to evaporate during the wash cycle - dispersing into the water and draining away rather than bonding into the fabric. Cold water keeps the molecular process slower and more controlled, giving Aromiq™ fragrance time to bind properly.

Load the drum to no more than three-quarters full
An overloaded washing machine can't circulate water and detergent properly. Aromiq™ fragrance molecules need direct contact with fabric during the wash cycle to bond effectively - a crowded drum means some garments get full exposure while others get almost none. Half full is ideal. Three-quarters is the maximum.
The same principle applies to the dryer. An overfull drum means uneven drying, more heat trapped between layers, and a compromised final result - for both the fragrance and the fabric itself.

Air dry where possible - always in the shade
Air drying is the gentlest and most effective way to preserve Aromiq™ scent after the wash. Where the dryer uses aggressive heat to rapidly evaporate water - taking fragrance molecules with it - air drying lets the garment dry slowly, giving the perfume-grade molecules time to settle deep into the fibre structure as they dry. The result is a scent that is noticeably stronger and more complex than dryer-dried equivalents.
One important caveat: always air dry in the shade. Direct sunlight causes UV degradation of fragrance molecules - the same process that fades coloured fabric over time. A breezy, shaded spot indoors or outdoors is ideal. The garment should smell significantly better for it.

Pull cotton and linen out of the dryer slightly damp
For garments that do go in the dryer - cotton shirts, trousers, linen pieces - remove them while still very slightly damp. Give each piece a firm shake to release creases, then hang immediately. The final phase of drying on the hanger is when Aromiq™ fragrance molecules settle into their deepest position in the fibre, where they'll release consistently and slowly through an entire day of wear.

Use one pod - never more for scent
This is the most counterintuitive tip on this list - and the most important. Using two Aromiq™ pods does not double the fragrance. It creates excess surfactant and detergent residue that coats the fibres and actually traps fragrance underneath, preventing it from releasing during wear. How You Store Clothes Affects How Long the Scent Lasts
The work doesn't end at the drying rack. Where and how you store clean clothes has a real impact on how much fragrance remains when you come to wear them.
Fold or hang clothes as soon as they are fully dry - leaving them in a pile compresses fibres and traps the scent underneath rather than allowing it to breathe. Drawers and wardrobes that are well-ventilated preserve fragrance significantly better than tightly packed ones. Avoid plastic storage bags for anything you want to wear in the near term - they seal out air and cause the scent to stagnate rather than remain fresh.
