Softened fibres are more open and relaxed. Open fibres accept and hold fragrance molecules more effectively than fibres that are stiff or compacted. By softening the fabric during the same cycle, the pod creates ideal conditions for the perfume-grade fragrance to bond deeply - which is why the scent lasts longer on Aromiq™-washed clothes than on clothes washed with a detergent and a separate softener used incorrectly or not at all.
